The series of novels have become even better than “Flat Stanley” its predecessor, as they incorporate geographical and historical landmarks in a variety of settings in which the adventures of Flat Stanley take place. The first novel in the series was “The Mount Rushmore Calamity” that Sara first published in 2009 to widespread popularity. Sara Pennypacker just like Brown is a well-known children’s author with her own series of novels that have been very successful. Jeff Brown the original creator of the Stanley series of novels is famous for writing several series of novels featuring the Stanley character that include Flat Again, Stanley, Stanley in Space, Stanley Christmas Adventure, Invisible Stanley, Stanley and the Magic Lamp, and Flat Stanly from which the Flat Stanley’s Worldwide Adventure is derived. The series of novels is another addition to the popular Flat Stanley series of novels by Jeff Brown. Eventually, Stanley is tired of being flat and Arthur changes him back to his proper shape with a bicycle pump.Flat Stanley’s Worldwide Adventure is a series of children’s novels by award-winning author Sara Pennypacker. Stanley even helps catch some art museum thieves by posing as a painting on the wall. One special advantage is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends in California by being mailed in an envelope. He survives and makes the best of his altered state, and soon he is entering locked rooms by sliding under the door, being rolled up to go out to the park and playing with his younger brother by being used as a kite. During the night the board falls from the wall, flattening Stanley in his sleep. He hangs it on the wall over Stanley's bed. However in the 1990's the publication was changed to one where he and his younger brother Arthur are given a big bulletin board by their father to display pictures and posters. The story then goes on with his exploits. In the original 1960's publication of the story Stanley Lambchop was run over by a steamroller and survived. Flat Stanley is an American children's book series written by Jeff Brown (Janu– December 3, 2003).
